Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Senior Business Analyst to own Time & Attendance and Payroll Systems within the BES team. You will partner with Corporate Payroll, HR & Payroll Innovation, and Field Operations to improve time collection, workforce management, and labor compliance through technology.

You will translate business needs into functional specs, lead small-to-medium projects, support system enhancements, and ensure regulatory compliance across multi-state payroll.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as Business Analyst or similar in payroll, HRIS, or workforce management.
• Construction payroll, labor compliance, and workforce management experience preferred.
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and leading software implementations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between payroll, HR, and technology teams to translate needs into solutions.
• Lead requirements gathering, workshops, and process reviews with stakeholders.
• Develop functional specs, user stories, process maps, and solution recommendations.
• Support day-to-day operations of payroll and timekeeping systems and facilitate upgrades.
• Lead small-to-medium projects and coordinate cross-functional delivery with vendors and IT.
• Ensure compliance, data accuracy, and audit readiness across wage reporting programs.
