Job summary

GLIDE in San Francisco is seeking a Benefits and Payroll Specialist to support employee benefits, onboarding and payroll operations. You will coordinate benefit programs, conduct new hire orientations, process enrollments and maintain HRIS data integrity to ensure accurate payroll deductions.

The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred; PHR certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in payroll processing, benefits and leave administration.
• Direct experience with FMLA, CFRA, COBRA, and California employment practices.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day employee benefits administration and onboarding workflows.
• Process leave-related payroll calculations and maintain HRIS data integrity.
• Assist with semi-monthly payroll for 230+ employees and ADP onboarding tasks.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws affecting payroll and benefits.
