Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) is seeking an experienced payroll professional to lead end-to-end payroll operations for hourly and salaried staff in New Jersey.
The role requires Workday expertise, strong regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with HR and accounting to ensure accurate payments, timely filings, and compliant reporting.

Responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions
Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages Union and non-union employees
Comply with labor laws and regulations worked with payroll over 500 employees
Process payroll for employees Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages

Responsible for managing end-to-end internal payroll operations for both hourly and salaried employees, including prevailing wage, certified payroll, multi-state payroll, job costing, and compliance with federal and state labor laws as well as working with our current third-party payroll provider to process our weekly payrolls
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of payroll processes in the construction industry
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor and payroll regulations
Oversee timekeeping systems; ensure proper recording of hours, overtime, shift differentials, and job costing
Review and validate employee classifications, pay rates, and employment status
Coordinate payroll-related audits, including workers' comp, certified payroll, and year end processes
Ensure accurate garnishments, tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits are analyzed.
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to support onboarding, benefits integration, and financial reporting
Maintain employee payroll records with confidentiality and accuracy
Implementing new processes and controls to ensure proper approvals and compliance with policies
