Century Group is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to support their payroll operations in Orange County, CA. The role offers a contract engagement with hourly pay rates ranging from $35.00 to $48.00 per hour and a start date around 09/23/2026.

You will manage complex multistate payroll, ensure compliance with regulations, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with accounting, HR, and IT to optimize payroll processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience including large multistate payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance.
• Experience with enterprise payroll systems and advanced Excel reporting.
• Experience supporting payroll audits, year-end reporting, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations by processing employee compensation accurately and ensuring timely payroll completion.
• Review payroll data including earnings, deductions, taxes, and special pay adjustments.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, analysis, and reporting to support financial reporting and decision making.
• Partner with accounting, HR, technology, and operations teams to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
• Lead payroll improvement initiatives through system enhancements, automation, and documentation updates.
