Job summary

Century Group is partnering with a client to recruit a Senior Payroll Analyst in California. You will manage multistate payroll, ensure timely processing, and maintain compliance with regulations while partnering with HR, accounting, and IT teams.

You will lead payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting, provide data-driven insights, and support system enhancements and automation initiatives. A strong Excel skill set and payroll certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience including multistate processing.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements and compliance.
• Experience with enterprise payroll systems and advanced Excel for reporting.
• Experience supporting payroll audits, year-end processing and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations across multiple states with accurate processing.
• Review payroll data for earnings, deductions, taxes and adjustments for accuracy.
• Perform reconciliations, reporting and financial analysis to support accounting.
• Collaborate with HR, accounting, technology and business teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Lead payroll system initiatives, testing, enhancements and automation opportunities.
