Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join its accounting and finance team in a hybrid Northeast Portland setting. You will manage weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, ensure accuracy, and analyze payroll data to support management reviews.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, reporting, and collaboration with HR, accounting, and operations on special projects. This role offers growth in a large, complex payroll environment with process optimization

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience, including payroll analysis, payroll processing, and account reconciliations
• Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working within payroll, HRIS, or ERP systems
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour compliance, and general accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for production staff and bi-weekly payroll for salaried, exempt, hourly, and commission employees
• Reconcile payroll accounts, investigate discrepancies, and support payroll-related general ledger accounting activities
• Prepare payroll reports, labor cost analyses, and workforce data for management review
• Assist with FSA and HSA reporting and related payroll administration activities.
• Review employee earnings, deductions, union, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings for accuracy
• Assist with special projects.
