Payroll Analyst


Job Summary
Vaco has partnered with a Utilities Company and they are seeking a Payroll Analyst to join their team. Ideal candidate will have experience with multi-state payroll, ADP Work Force Now/Workday Financial Reporting system for both union and non-union payrolls. Client is offering healthy benefits and hybrid work model after training.

Duties

• Payroll Administration: Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing using the ADP Financial Reporting system
• Union and Non union - multistate payroll processing - company has 22 subsidiaries
• Data Entry and Time Processing
• Verification and Reconciliation
• Updates, and maintains documentation on all payroll policies
• Updates, and maintains payroll files.
• Reporting: Prepare and generate various payroll reports as required, using advanced Excel functionalities to analyze data and present findings to management, and union leaders.
• Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll regulations, ensuring that all payroll processes are compliant with legal standards, and alignment with union contracts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience with multi state payroll
• Experience with Union and Non Union Payroll
• Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax concepts in a multi-state environment.
• Proficiency with in-house reporting system or similar payroll software (Preferably Workday and/or SAP).
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
