Job summary

Thuma is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring accurate, on-time pay and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with Finance and People Operations to support a smooth payroll experience as Thuma grows.

Based in San Francisco, candidates should be able to come into our office. The role includes benefits administration, equity reporting support, and data integrity work with external vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll administration experience in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance.
• Experience with payroll systems such as Rippling or Workday.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll across schedules and ensure timely timecard submissions.
• Administer 401(k) contributions and payroll tax filings.
• Support equity compensation reporting and ACA/compliance activities.
