Job summary

Ian Martin Group is seeking a Payroll Accountant Manager to lead its payroll accounting operations in a large enterprise. You will plan and organize the department and ensure accurate GL entries for payroll and stock activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of accounting experience with payroll responsibilities in a large enterprise.
• Strong GL accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and payroll-related treatments.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA; ADP familiarity is a plus.
• Knowledge of internal controls, risk mitigation, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with full cycle payroll processing and stock transactions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead the payroll accounting department.
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries for payroll and stock activity.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and accrual accounting.
• Manage payroll procedures, system changes, and tickets.
• Oversee payroll-related closing activities and forecasts.
• Lead recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff.
• Serve as advisor on payroll analysis and financial performance.
• Coordinate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement process improvements and system upgrades.
