Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a Payroll Accountant Manager to support payroll accounting in a large enterprise environment. You will plan, organize, and lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate GL entries, reconciliations, and proper payroll accruals.

The role involves managing payroll-related activities, audits, and internal controls, with opportunities to advance within Corporate Accounting settings.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree and eight years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including management experience.
• 8+ years of accounting experience with direct payroll accounting responsibilities in a large enterprise.
• Strong command of GL accounting, accruals, reconciliation, and payroll-related accounting treatments.
• Demonstrates project management skills and awareness of financial performance metrics.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge in finance, internal controls and risk mitigation, policy, reporting and forecasting.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA; ADP familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead the accounting department and payroll accounting activities.
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage payroll accruals, PTO/vacation reserves, and year-end payouts.
• Oversee audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance for payroll.
• Lead recruitment, training, and development of accounting personnel.
• Advise management on financial issues and strategy execution.
