Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Business Architect to lead complex transformation initiatives within Global Payments & Trade. You will translate business strategy into actionable solutions, design current-target state models, gather requirements, and partner with Technology and business stakeholders to implement improvements.

This is a 12-month contract based in New York City with an expectation of four days onsite per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Business Architecture, Analysis, Process Design, Transformation, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading business transformation and process redesign initiatives.
• Ability to document current-state and target-state business processes or operating models.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of complex transformation initiatives from intake to benefits realization.
• Analyze processes, design current-state and target-state operating models.
• Translate business needs into practical solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Partner with Technology, Product, Risk, Compliance and other functions for alignment.
• Design detailed process flows using iGrafx, Miro, and related tools.
• Collaborate with multiple development teams to translate requirements into capabilities.
• Support transformation roadmap, business cases, and measurable benefits.
• Assist with workflow modernization and risk/controls alignment.
• Support testing, issue resolution, and global rollout of new functionality.
• Assist Change Management and cross-program collaboration.
