Booking Holdings is seeking a senior attorney to lead and execute payments strategies across the US and Americas. You will advise on licensing, money transmission, BSA compliance, and relate regulatory matters while partnering with technology, risk, compliance and finance teams.

A product‑savvy, global-regulatory mindset is essential for shaping the future of our payments ecosystem. You will work with external counsel, engage with public affairs, and help define a long-term regulatory strategy

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience practicing law
• Significant experience advising on regulatory matters in financial services or payments
• Experience with money services business and money transmission licenses
• Experience with payments, data privacy, security, consumer protection, platform liability and advertising law
• Experience dealing with government agencies and regulators including FinCen and CFPB
• Understanding of the US regulatory environment and cross-border regulatory issues
• Experience advising on payments, product development and delivery channels
• Experience with major payment networks is desirable

Responsibilities

• Report to the Senior Director Legal, BHFS and support regulatory legal matters for payments in the US and Americas
• Advise on licensing, money transmission, BSA compliance and related matters
• Collaborate with BHFS US leadership, technology, risk, compliance and finance teams
• Manage outside counsel for payments regulatory initiatives
• Coordinate with public affairs on payments and financial services regulation
• Identify emerging regulatory issues impacting the BHFS business in the US region
• Provide timely and practical legal advice on regulated financial and payments products
• Develop long-term relationships with key partners across payments operations in the US
