Job summary

Washington Trust Bank is seeking a Payment Service Center Manager in Spokane to lead three support teams, oversee processing and balancing of money movements, and ensure risk controls and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with product, international, and technology teams to deploy innovative payment technologies, manage budgets, and mentor staff while maintaining continuity and accuracy across all payment channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in payment operations, treasury services, or related functions.
• 3+ years of leadership in a high production environment.
• Experience with check processing, lockbox services, ACH, wire transfers, and electronic payment systems.
• Strong knowledge of payment operations controls and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of NACHA operating rules, wire transfer regulations, and best practices.
• Experience managing operational risk, fraud prevention, and security controls.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvement efforts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs three support teams to ensure efficient and accurate payment processing and money movement.
• Manages compliance with laws, NACHA rules, and internal controls.
• Oversees budgeting and staffing plans for the Payment Service Center.
• Partners with products, international, and Technology teams on new payment technologies.
• Ensures staff training and performance management under bank policies.
