Job summary

Pathward is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in the Payments/Business Reporting area. This remote-hybrid role aligns technology solutions with business reporting needs to improve forecasting, analytics, and operational planning across the payments domain.

You will develop and maintain reports, ensure data quality, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver dashboards and ad hoc analyses. Requires 5+ years in payments, strong data skills, and experience with ThoughtSpot and PowerBI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 5+ years work experience preferably in Payments (or adjacent industry).
  • Ability to problem solve complex data and technical challenges related to reporting independently or in collaboration.
  • Strong organizational project management skills to manage reporting migration and ad hoc requests.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with internal customers.
  • Experience with ThoughtSpot, PowerBI, SQL, Snowflake, Advanced Excel and Salesforce Reporting.
  • Experience working through SDLC.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in initial and continual development, as well as on-going maintenance of reports and models.
  • Maintains and refines historic and forward-looking business metrics and statistics that can be used to help guide decision making.
  • Assists in the creation and compilation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting packages, highlighting results and variance analysis.
  • Identifies and executes opportunities for process improvement and standardization across business lines.
  • Drives standard definitions around key data elements and identify and support projects related to achieving data consistency, availability and quality.
  • Drives the identification and implementation of technology solutions to reduce manual processes, enhance controls, improve cycle times, and support consistency.
  • Generates one-time, ad hoc reports by crafting custom queries against the data repository.
  • Works closely with internal and external partners to obtain supporting information and data.
  • Develops a consistent view of product performance and operational support functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

Aligns technology solutions with business strategies to improve business reporting capabilities, enhance technical analyses, improve forecasting accuracy, facilitate operational planning and refine other such processes to maximize business performance in Payments.This role requires both technical data analytic skills as well as thought leadership.

What You Will Do:

  • Drives the identification and implementation of technology solutions to reduce manual processes, enhance controls, improve cycle times, and support consistency. This role will play an integral role in the transition from a legacy reporting environment to a more modern platform and the ongoing evolution of executive dashboards and reporting.
  • Generates one-time, ad hoc reports by crafting custom queries against the data repository.
  • Works closely with internal and external partners to obtain supporting information and data.
  • Develops a consistent view of product performance and operational support functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 5+ years work experience preferably in Payments (or adjacent industry)
  • An ability to problem solve complex data and technical challenges related to their reporting responsibilities independently or in collaboration
  • Strong organizational project management skills to manage reporting migration and ad hoc requests
  • Strong ability to collaborate with internal customers
  • Experience with: ThoughtSpot, PowerBI (building reports, entitlements), SQL, Snowflake, Advance Excel and SalesForce Reporting
  • Experience working through SDLC

Salary range: $72,000 – $120,000


The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
