T-Mobile USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst, Payment Strategy to leverage data analytics and strategic thinking to optimize the customer payment experience while managing payment risk and cost.

You will partner across Product, Finance, Technology, Risk, Fraud, and Operations to translate complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making, influencing billions in annual payment volume.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required plus 2 years related work experience or equivalent
• Preferred fields include Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
• 2-4 years experience in writing and presenting, PowerPoint
• 2-4 years experience in strategy, problem-solving, data-driven recommendations
• 2-4 years experience in data analytics and financial modeling, including complex data analysis
• Strong analytical thinking, statistical analysis, critical thinking and data analysis
• Experience with SQL and cloud data platforms like Snowflake is preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze large customer payment datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Investigate payment behaviors across methods, segments, and channels
• Identify root causes of payment failures, losses, and customer friction
• Evaluate strategies to improve payment approvals while minimizing losses and fraud
• Build business cases supported by quantitative analysis and scenario modeling
• Recommend improvements balancing customer experience, efficiency and financial performance
• Develop queries and leverage Snowflake to extract, analyze, and validate data
• Build financial models, dashboards, and what-if analyses for strategic decisions
• Use AI productivity tools to accelerate research, analysis, and documentation
• Partner with Product, Fraud, Risk, Tech, Finance, and Operations to implement initiatives
• Gather business requirements and translate into actionable recommendations
• Develop concise executive presentations and present findings to senior leadership
• Monitor payment industry trends and evaluate new solutions to improve payment experience
