Job summary
Forterra is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and field software for autonomous robotics and automation technologies used by national security customers worldwide. You will work across sensory, compute, and control subsystems and partner with engineers, researchers, and product managers to build robust software for complex systems.
The role requires hands-on experience in integrating software on hardware platforms, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with robotics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software for autonomous systems.
- BS in computer science, engineering, robotics, or related field.
- Experience integrating software on hardware with sensors and compute platforms.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Integrate and deploy payloads on customer hardware and validate in real world.
- Collaborate with users to deliver new behaviors and mission use-cases.
- Optimize sensing, compute, and controls for system performance.
- Analyze test results and drive issues to resolution with teams.
- Coordinate across BD and engineering to translate requirements into autonomy capabilities.
