Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Sr. Consulting Manager with healthcare payer expertise to lead business analysis and process design on payer initiatives in the United States. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, validating scope, and ensuring end-to-end traceability from business intent through delivered solutions.

The candidate should have 10+ years in health care BA/consulting, strong requirements documentation, and familiarity with Agile/Waterfall/hybrid methods. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Payer knowledge in claims, membership, products, provider & network data, care/utilization management, member services or customer service.
• 10+ years in business analysis, process design, or healthcare consulting, including a lead-analyst role on complex initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and elicit requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong requirements documentation, traceability, and structured delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Lead business analyst on payer initiatives with end-to-end traceability from intake to delivery.
• Facilitate elicitation workshops with SMEs, business owners, and delivery teams to define features and requirements.
• Act as SME for business analysis and process design; peer-review work by junior analysts.
• Collaborate with PM, Initiative Owner, and Enterprise Business Architect to validate scope and manage multiple initiatives.
• Prepare RAID Log, Requirements Quality and approval artifacts, and Requirements Traceability Matrix.
• Prepare internal and client presentations.
