Job summary

Knife River Northwest seeks a seasoned Paving Crew Supervisor in Beaverton, OR to oversee paving crews on road and commercial projects. You will manage traffic control, subcontractor work, paving operations and trucking while ensuring quality, safety, and on-time completion.

You will lead daily reporting, safety meetings, and coordinate with inspectors and contractors, upholding Knife River's standards for customer and employee satisfaction. Prior paving supervision required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience focusing on asphalt paving, streets, highways, and commercial projects.
• Experience supervising others in a construction setting.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple crews or activities.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee paving crew and activities on paving project.
• Coordinate traffic control, subcontractor work, paving operations and trucking.
• Communicate with superintendent, inspectors, and contractors.
• Assure quality of work across all asphalt paving activities.
• Order and manage daily trucking operations.
• Hold weekly safety meetings and review JHAs.
• Complete daily foreman’s reports and diaries.
• Ensure safety of all crew members and operations.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
