Job summary

XCEL NDT, LLC. is seeking a Level II PAUT Technician to perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations in Columbia, SC. You will interpret results, maintain records, and guide Assistants and Level I Technicians while ensuring safety and compliance with applicable standards.

The role requires PAUT Level II certification and fosters on-the-job training across NDT methods, with opportunities to advance within a collaborative team. Local on-site work in Columbia, SC is expected.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II PAUT certification required.
• Additional Level II certifications in RT, MT, PT, or UTT preferred.
• Strong technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass DISA background check and drug screenings.
• UTSW is a pre-requisite to PAUT.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate PAUT and other NDT equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect defects and evaluate results.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Provide training and guidance to Assistants and Level I Technicians.
• Adhere to safety regulations and inspection criteria.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
