Job summary

CALCTRA seeks a Superintendent II to lead the Fabric Engineering Unit at Mule Creek State Prison. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate production, and ensure safety and policy compliance for both civil service and incarcerated staff.

You will report to the designated CDCR framework, drive process improvements, and uphold standards for quality, timeliness, and cost control in a complex institutional setting.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or institutional setting.
• Experience, knowledge and ability to train on patternmaking, grading, and proper sewing techniques.
• Experience working in an institutional/correctional setting.
• Computer experience: Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Gerber/Lectra, manufacturing systems (Sage X3).
• Production and inventory management experience.
• Experience, knowledge, and ability to create and maintain technical packs and markers.
• Manufacturing experience of fabrics from raw material to finished goods and ability to read instructions or plans to manufacture products.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Fabric Engineering Unit.
• Oversee CALCTRA civil service and incarcerated staff.
• Ensure compliance with CDCR policies and procedures.
