Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center, located in Portland, OR, is seeking a Senior Patient Scheduler to join the Imaging Support team. This full-time day shift (Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm) role focuses on coordinating complex imaging and medical procedures with accuracy and compassion.

The Scheduler manages exam information, resource availability, and patient data (ICD coding, medical history, allergies, demographics) to ensure compliant, timely scheduling across Interventional, Nuclear Medicine,

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical and/or clerical experience.
• Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule imaging and related medical procedures (e.g., Interventional, Nuclear Medicine, Anesthesia, Short Stay, Admitting).
• Obtain exam information, equipment/resources, and patient history to support accurate scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with scheduling protocols and maintain patient demographic and medical data.

Senior Patient Scheduler at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

Full-Time/Day Shift - Monday - Friday from 9am-5:30pm

The Imaging Support / Scheduler is accountable for scheduling various complex Imaging and Medical procedures (i.e. Interventional, Nuclear Medicine, Anesthesia, Short Stay and Admitting) by obtaining appropriate exam information, specialized equipment / resources and implant and current/historical medical information (ICD Coding, medical history, including allergies and patient demographic profile). Complexity of this position is evidenced by the use of intermediate and complex medical terminology and precise scheduling protocols to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years Medical and/or clerical experience.
• Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Business or college courses.
