Job summary

You will monitor improvement activities, support accreditation efforts, and communicate program outcomes to senior leadership and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of disease processes to include basic anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles and methods, change theory, and systems thinking.
• Knowledge of hospital information systems and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify needs, and implement effective work strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily review and processing of patient safety incident reports.
• Facilitate root cause analyses and corrective action plans for sentinel events.
• Prepare complete root cause analysis reports for communication to Senior Management and other committees.
• Facilitate development of Common Cause Analyses and Quality Improvement Team corrective actions.
• Monitor effectiveness of improvement activities and track metrics.
