Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a seasoned (Senior) Patient Safety Physician to oversee pharmacovigilance risk management for marketed and investigational products on a global scale. The role may involve matrix reporting to a Lead Patient Safety physician and collaboration across BI leadership to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should possess an MD/DO with US licensure, strong leadership, and extensive pharmacovigilance experience.

Qualifications

• US MD or DO degree required.
• Active US license to practice or international equivalent.
• Leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in pharmacovigilance/risk management and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop or support proactive risk management strategies for assigned compounds.
• Plan, manage and monitor pharmacovigilance activities for drug responsibilities.
• Chair or support internal Asset Benefit Risk Teams.
• Lead and mentor risk management physicians for investigational compounds.
• Provide updates on safety profiles to senior management and BI bodies.
• Represent PSPV in internal and external committees.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and develop strategic initiatives.
