Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a (Senior) Patient Safety Physician to lead and contribute to pharmacovigilance risk management for marketed and investigational products on a global level. The role may report to US line management and matrix to a Lead Patient Safety physician.

The position emphasizes risk management strategies, cross-functional leadership, and updates to senior leadership while supporting regulatory compliance and health authority interactions.

Formación

• US MD or DO degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution required (or equivalent).
• Completion of a US residency or ex-US equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Active or inactive US license to practice medicine, or international equivalent.
• Board certification / experience in a medicine subspecialty would be an asset.
• People leadership potential is required; senior roles call for leadership experience (projects/teams).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) required.
• Ability to attend key meetings in person is required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop or support proactive risk management strategies for assigned key marketed and/or investigational compounds.
• Plan, manage / perform and monitor all pharmacovigilance activities for assigned drug responsibilities.
• Chair or support the BI-internal Asset Benefit Risk Team with cross-disciplinary experts.
• Lead, manage and medically direct a team of risk management physicians for investigational compounds when needed.
• Provide updates of the assigned drug's safety profile to senior management and BI decision bodies.
• Represent PSPV in internal and external committees & bodies and in global health authority interactions.
• Contribute to the development of pharmacovigilance through staying current with regulatory changes and healthcare trends.
