Join a patient-centered team where you play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and supporting clinical excellence. This position assists nurses and providers with numerous duties involving direct and indirect patient care, including assisting providers with procedures, transporting patients within the Institute, and supporting efficient patient flow in the ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities include procuring and processing laboratory test samples for clinical and research testing purposes, performing phlebotomy using venipuncture, butterfly, and microsampling techniques, and ensuring proper patient registration and handling of laboratory orders within Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems. The role also processes and routes clinical laboratory testing materials to the appropriate testing areas, maintains laboratory supply inventories, and processes requests for supply orders.
Additional responsibilities include obtaining electrocardiograms, assisting the unit in maintaining compliance and safety standards, monitoring and maintaining quality assurance and quality improvement activities, and applying infection control techniques to care. Performs all duties of the Patient Care Technician.
Starting hourly rate is $21.78.
