Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, DE is hiring a Patient Care Technician II to provide phlebotomy, specimen collection and transport with close patient contact. The role includes mentoring PCT1 staff, performing ECGs and waived tests, and maintaining data entry accuracy across Bayhealth sites.

Full-time position at Kent Campus with day/evening shifts; salary range $18.27–$27.40 hourly. Eligible benefits and on-site care options are included.

Qualifications

• Certificate program or equivalent healthcare credential plus high school diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy and/or EKG/MA/PCT training preferred.
• At least 1 year in Bayhealth PCT1 or equivalent healthcare role.

Responsabilités

• Mentorship and guidance to PCT I/II staff; uphold policies and patient care standards.
• Perform phlebotomy, waived testing and ECG with documented procedures.
• Process specimens, enter data, and ensure timely test orders.
• Maintain clean work areas and manage supplies; report low inventory.
• Communicate professionally with staff, nurses, physicians and patients using AIDET.
• Adhere to safety, PPE and infection prevention protocols.
• Other duties within scope as assigned.
