UPMC Northwest is seeking a casual Patient Care Technician - Senior or Patient Care Technician - Specialist to join the Emergency Department Team. Final candidates will be placed on a career ladder reflecting education, experience, and manager discretion.

The role involves routine nursing assistant tasks, patient safety, and potential advanced skills based on department needs, with opportunities for growth within the UPMC system.

Formación

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in basic healthcare tasks and patient care.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and be competent with nursing core assistant tasks including ADLs, vital signs, and I&O.
• Assist with point of care testing, patient transport, and record documentation.
• Support RN with patient care and safety, and handle basic clerical tasks as needed.
• Rotate through department duties and respond to call lights and requests.
