The position provides mentoring, staffing decisions, and accountability for budget, compliance, and process improvements, requiring 4+ years of supervisory experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of supervisory experience in a hospital registration environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent work experience accepted.
• Advanced mathematical skills and knowledge of managed care contracts (AHCCCS, Medicare).
• Ability to manage multiple staff and levels; strong verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with patient financial services database, reporting, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Patient Financial Services staff; establish succession plans.
• Hire, train, coach, motivate, and evaluate staff; set goals.
• Coordinate information on patient registration and scheduling with departments; maintain positive communications.
• Maximize cash flow through financial management and upfront authorizations.
• Develop and manage department budget; ensure appropriate staffing within budget.
• Lead process improvements and onboarding; ensure compliance and productivity goals.
