Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the patient intake process in our clinic. You will handle in-person and phone interactions, verify insurance, collect data and payments, schedule appointments, and process referrals and authorizations.

The role requires strong customer service, critical thinking, and knowledge of insurance, billing, and medical terminology to ensure a seamless intake experience for patients and families.

Formación

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance, billing and medical terminology helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain detailed patient insurance benefit information.
• Discuss benefits and other financial issues with patients and/or family members during initial evaluation.
• Advise patients on insurance and billing issues and options; serve as a financial resource.
• Coordinate all necessary payer authorizations.
• Monitor and update information regarding insurance data, physicians, authorizations and managed care contracting.
• Assist patients and families with questions concerning insurance and other financial issues.
