The Wilshire Group is seeking a Senior Patient Access Analyst/Project Manager for a remote contract opportunity open to candidates in Texas or nearby regions. You will lead Epic Patient Access initiatives (Cadence/Prelude/Referrals), drive enterprise-wide transformation, and coordinate IT, clinical, and revenue cycle stakeholders.

You have 10+ years in healthcare IT project delivery, active Epic certifications, and a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, travel ~25%, and deliver

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT or revenue cycle.
• Active Epic certifications in Cadence, Prelude, and/or Referrals.
• Experience leading large-scale healthcare projects enterprise-wide.
• Strong knowledge of patient registration, scheduling, referrals workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate large-scale Epic Patient Access projects (registration, scheduling, referrals).
• Develop and execute project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with IT, clinical, operational and executive stakeholders for alignment.
• Provide SME in Epic Cadence, Prelude and/or Referrals applications.
• Manage risks, dependencies, resources, issues and stakeholder communications.
• Oversee readiness, testing, go-live activities and stabilization.
• Facilitate meetings, monitor progress, and provide status reports.
• Support enterprise-wide change management and adoption of new workflows.

Employment Type: Contract | W2 | 6+ Months

The Wilshire Group seeks an experienced Senior Patient Access Analyst/Project Manager to support a large-scale healthcare technology and operational transformation initiative.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive Epic Patient Access expertise, a strong project management background, and demonstrated success supporting complex, enterprise-wide healthcare implementations.

This position requires someone who can manage competing priorities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and translate technical requirements into effective operational solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate large-scale Epic Patient Access projects, including scheduling, registration, and referral-related initiatives.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with IT, clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and executive stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Provide subject matter expertise in Epic Cadence, Prelude, and/or Referrals applications.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, resource coordination, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
• Oversee implementation readiness, system testing, go-live activities, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Facilitate project meetings, monitor progress, and provide regular status reporting to leadership.
• Support enterprise-level change management and operational adoption of new workflows.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project management experience , preferably within healthcare IT, Patient Access, or revenue cycle operations.
• Active Epic certification in Cadence, Prelude, and/or Referrals.
• Demonstrated experience managing or leading large-scale, complex healthcare projects.
• Strong knowledge of patient registration, scheduling, referrals, and related operational workflows.
• Experience with Epic implementations, optimization projects, upgrades, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple workstreams and stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.
• Multiple Epic certifications across Patient Access applications.
• PMP or other recognized project management certification.
• Previous consulting experience with large hospital systems, academic medical centers, or multi-facility healthcare organizations.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide Epic implementations and optimization initiatives.

This is a remote contract opportunity open to qualified candidates residing in Texas or other U.Travel will be required based on client project needs.
