Senior Patient Access Advocate – Evernorth Care Group – Remote-Phoenix, AZ

The Senior Patient Access Advocate is a key member of the Evernorth Care Group’s multidisciplinary team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed physician. The role involves supporting patient calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • High school diploma preferred or 1+ year of related experience
  • 1+ year of customer service experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in healthcare customer service, typing, and scheduling applications preferred
  • Inbound call center experience highly desired
  • Ability to communicate clearly and warmly with customers
  • Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments accurately, ensuring patient needs are met, and consult with clinicians if necessary
  • Verify patient coverage and eligibility, complete paperwork, update patient records, and assist with MyChart portal inquiries
  • Respond to calls promptly, route calls appropriately, and document interactions thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach efforts and conversations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Note: If working remotely, internet service must be via cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.
