Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
• 5 years’ experience in a GLP, nonclinical environment required.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs necropsy procedures, including complete necropsies and perfusion procedures.
• Performs routine gross examination as required by GLP standards, and maintains accurate records.
• Leads daily schedule and workflow coordination with manager.
• Coordinates and performs shipping of pathology specimens with logs.
• Performs tissue trimming per guidelines and study protocols.
• Performs silicone anatomical castings of organs and vessels.
• Performs photography and high-resolution x-ray imaging and film developing.
• Maintains GLP-compliant lab and SOP adherence.
• Acts as a client contact for special requests and projects.
• Performs calibrations or validations on specialized equipment.
• Leads training for Pathology Technician I and II duties.
• Identifies process improvements and implements changes.
