Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Laboratory Clerk I/II to perform clerical and technical duties under supervision, including receipt, accessioning, centrifugation, and communication with clinicians. The role reports to a Laboratory Supervisor and interacts with Front Window staff and callers.

Role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a busy lab setting; onsite work at 75 Francis Street with a 40-hour week and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Experience not substituting for degree.
• Minimum two years of experience as a CLA I or II; 2–3 years preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: strong interpersonal, communication, reliability, prioritization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enters requisition information into the computer.
• Transfers samples to centrifuges and decant station.
• Processes ADDs: locates sample, adds tests to accession, completes ADDs form.
• Acts as resource to CLA I and CLA II staff.
• Handles special specimens (e.g. Sendouts).
