Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical lab science or health care related field; minimum four (4) years of experience in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or health care related field OR minimum seven (7) years of experience in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or health care related field.
• Pathologist’s Assistant Certificate required at hire.
• Leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes autonomous work and supports business projects; solves complex problems and collaborates to reach decisions.
• Develops training materials and ensures ongoing competency through staff development.
• Maintains compliance and accreditation; updates policies and documentation for laboratories and facilities.
• Acts as a liaison between medical laboratory services and other departments; monitors regulatory changes and improves quality systems.
• Improves operations by evaluating testing methodologies, leading projects, and ensuring efficient workflows.
