Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to support our patent prosecution team with legal operations, document management, and technology initiatives. You will coordinate domestic and international filings, deadlines, and records while handling sensitive information with discretion.

The ideal candidate has five-plus years of patent prosecution experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with USPTO Patent Center, ePCT, and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; patent prosecution experience preferred.
• Five+ years in patent prosecution or related legal operations.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file US and international patent applications and related documents with USPTO, WIPO, and foreign jurisdictions.
• Coordinate domestic and foreign prosecution activities, deadlines, and records.
• Monitor patent dockets, liaise with attorneys, clients, foreign counsel, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review and report patent office correspondence.
• Communicate with clients regarding filings, deadlines, and maintenance matters.
• Support attorney departures with transition documentation and client matter coordination.
• Maintain databases (iManage, FIP) and document management.
• Participate in legal technology projects and process improvements.
