Job summary

DLA Piper in Washington, DC is seeking a Paralegal Specialist to support patent litigation under attorney supervision, handling discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. You will manage document databases, prepare exhibits, and coordinate with clients, outside counsel, and vendors, with a hybrid office/remote schedule.

Candidates should have 10+ years of paralegal experience in patent law, strong writing and analytical skills, and familiarity with Relativity and eDiscovery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; paralegal certification preferred.
• 10+ years of paralegal experience in patent-related practice area.
• Experience in patent litigation including discovery, depositions and trials.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of patent litigation including discovery, trial and appeals.
• Assist with depositions, witness interviews, hearings, trials and arbitration.
• Review and organize large document databases for case tracking and discovery.
• Prepare exhibits, privilege logs, and manage document productions for ITC/PTAB cases.
