Watts & Associates Recruitment represents a premier Am Law 100 firm seeking a Patent Litigation Senior Associate / Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its San Francisco office. You will lead complex US District Court patent matters and ITC investigations, manage trials, motions, depositions and expert work, and collaborate with senior litigators on high-stakes technology disputes.

Strong writing, analytical, and matter-management skills are essential, as is active California Bar

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of substantial patent litigation experience.
• Experience in US District Court patent litigation and ITC proceedings.
• Hands-on experience with trials, motions, depositions, expert reports and discovery management.
• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
• Strong matter-management skills and the ability to lead complex litigation workstreams.
• Ability to handle sophisticated technology disputes; no particular technology background required.
• Strong academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Manage substantial workstreams in complex US District Court patent litigation.
• Support and lead aspects of ITC Section 337 investigations.
• Draft and argue motions; take and defend depositions; prepare fact and expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with technical and damages experts on reports and discovery strategy.
• Contribute to trial preparation and broader dispute resolution planning.
