Watts & Associates is seeking an IP Litigation Associate to join its Washington, DC / Los Angeles, CA / San Francisco, CA platform. The role offers exposure to high-value patent, technology and trade-secret disputes for major technology, life-sciences and corporate clients.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of substantive ip/patent litigation experience, strong drafting and analytical abilities, and a technical background in EE/CS or software.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of substantive ip and patent litigation experience.
• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Admission in the relevant office jurisdiction, or eligibility to waive in promptly.

Responsibilities

• Support complex patent, trade-secret and technology disputes in federal courts and specialist forums.
• Draft substantive motions, briefs, discovery materials and expert submissions.
• Manage fact and expert discovery, depositions, and key case workstreams.
• Contribute to trial, hearing and appellate strategy and coordinate with clients and experts.
