Job summary

Amneal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Patent Counsel to provide IP guidance to R&D scientists and senior management, develop patent portfolios, and manage prosecution across jurisdictions. The role focuses on strategy, portfolio development, and risk assessment to support specialty pharma products.

Responsibilities include leading patent prosecution, advising on claim scope, and conducting invention disclosures. This is a hybrid role with three days in Bridgewater, NJ offices.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor ABA accredited law degree is required.
• Undergraduate degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global IP strategies and manage a high-value patent portfolio.
• Draft, file and prosecute US and international patent applications; advise on claim scope and prosecution strategy.
• Lead FTO analyses and provide clear IP risk guidance for development candidates and products; support diligence for licensing/M&A.
