Job summary

Amneal seeks a senior Patent Counsel in our Intellectual Property Function to guide R&D scientists and senior management, develop global IP strategies and build valuable patent portfolios. The hybrid role includes collaboration with management to screen new product candidates and support lifecycle management.

This position requires a JD, a chemistry/chemical engineering or pharmaceutical sciences background, 5+ years in pharma IP, and USPTO registration with a three-day in-office requirement in

Qualifications

• JD required from ABA-accredited law school.
• Undergraduate degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy.
• 5+ years experience in a law firm/pharmaceutical company legal department advising pharmaceutical clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global IP strategies for pipeline and products.
• Draft, file, and prosecute US and international patent applications.
• Lead FTO analyses and advise on IP risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support licensing, partnerships and M&A due diligence.

Education

Juris Doctor ABA accredited law school

BA/BS in chemistry, chemical engineering or pharmaceutical sciences
