Job summary

Briarwood Baptist Church in Blackshear, GA is seeking God’s man to serve as Senior Pastor. This full-time role leads with biblical conviction, shepherds the congregation, and equips believers for ministry in a loving, mission-minded Southern Baptist context.

Responsibilities include preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, and community outreach, with necessary leadership over church programs and missions. Résumés, sermons, and testimony are requested.

Qualifications

• Must be a man who has experienced salvation and has a clear call into pastoral ministry.
• Ordained Southern Baptist minister with doctrinal agreement to SBC beliefs.
• Strong emphasis on biblical preaching, discipleship, evangelism and missions.
• Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadership and proclaim the Gospel locally and globally.
• Preach and teach biblically sound, Christ-centered sermons.
• Shepherd and disciple the congregation through biblical teaching and guidance.
• Provide pastoral care through hospital, home and crisis ministry and counseling.
• Collaborate with church leadership to strengthen ministries in discipleship and outreach.
• Represent the church at civic, educational, and community events.
• Promote prayer, unity, stewardship and servant leadership throughout the church.
