Qualifications

• Be a man who has salvation through Jesus Christ and a clear call into pastoral ministry.
• Be an ordained Southern Baptist minister.
• Affirms and supports the doctrines of the Southern Baptist Convention.
• Meets the biblical pastor qualifications (1 Tim 3:1–7; Titus 1:7–9).
• Strong commitment to biblical preaching, discipleship, evangelism, and missions.
• Possesses leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadership for Briarwood Baptist Church locally and globally.
• Preach and teach biblically sound, Christ-centered sermons.
• Shepherd and disciple the congregation through biblical teaching and encouragement.
• Provide pastoral care through hospital/home visits, crisis ministry, counseling, and other times of need.
• Work with church leadership to develop ministries that strengthen discipleship, outreach, and missions.
• Represent Briarwood Baptist Church at civic, educational, and community events, fostering partnerships to share Christ.
• Promote prayer, unity, stewardship, and servant leadership throughout the church.
