Qualifications

• High school diploma required; management or business coursework preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a heavy-duty truck parts department.
• Experience operating computerized inventory control systems.
• Strong reading, writing and communication in English.
• Ability to hire, train and manage department staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare end of month inventory total report.
• Oversee stock, emergency, and special orders; expedite back orders.
• Control inventory levels and obsolescence; oversee physical inventory.
• Prepare and return monthly core return; oversee semi-annual Mack returns.
• Evaluate monthly profit and loss; review Mack billings.
• Oversee account coding of local parts invoices from vendors.
• Assist customers at parts counter and answer phone calls.
• Hire, discharge, and train parts department staff.
• Oversee maintenance of parts department equipment.
• Meet monthly with Sales and Service Managers to improve interdepartmental relations.
• Visit primary customers to assess satisfaction and needs.
