Job summary

J.B. Hunt in Columbus, OH is seeking a Sr Parts Technician to mentor teammates and ensure parts are available for truck and trailer repairs. You will manage inventory, run audits, and process orders and shipments, while maintaining JBHT information systems.

This full-time role may involve outdoor work, varied shifts including nights and weekends, and overtime. A high school diploma or GED is required with up to two years of related experience; a sign-on bonus may be offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to 2 years of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
• Preferred: multitask, work independently and as part of a team, fast-paced environment, active listening, organization and time management, self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage parts inventory by forecasting turnover and replenishment.
• Monitor inventory levels and order parts as required.
• Maintain JBHT information systems for parts and fuel.
• Stock inbound parts and update information systems.
• Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventories as required.
