Job summary

Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Officer, Partnerships (Fundraising) to lead fundraising and partnership support for priority initiatives in the Environment portfolio. You will build relationships with donors and partners, and coordinate strategic proposals and stewardship.

You will manage a portfolio, collaborate with program staff, and translate our mission into compelling asks, ensuring measurable results while navigating a complex philanthropic landscape.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Generally, 10 years of successful fundraising experience.
• Proven track record closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Strong written, verbal, and editing skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment.
• Commitment to measurable results with creativity in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for the fundraising cluster.
• Help establish fundraising strategy for projects within the cluster, including Enduring Earth and other collaborations.
• Execute an assigned portfolio of prospects to identify philanthropic and partnerships support.
• Develop deep relationships with Environment program teams and gain credibility for the work.
• Work with program staff to translate the value proposition to external audiences.
• Collaborate across the organization to leverage the maximum philanthropic potential of prospects.
• Lead development of written proposals, concept papers, fundraising plans, and materials.
• Develop and execute donor stewardship plans for the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to refine your portfolio.
• Maintain meticulous donor reporting and CRM tracking.
