Job summary

The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Partnerships team seeks a Senior Officer to lead fundraising and partnership support for Pew’s Environment portfolio. Based in Washington, DC, you’ll establish internal and external relationships, using ROI metrics to meet programmatic deliverables.

The role blends fundraising leadership with strategic collaboration across teams and external partners. You will guide proposals, donor stewardship, and collaboration with Donor Relations and Portfolio Management to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required or advanced degree preferred.
• Typically 10 years of successful fundraising experience with a track record of closing significant gifts.
• Strong written, verbal, and editing skills with ability to translate Pew’s mission for donors.
• Experience developing complex written materials on a tight timeline.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the fundraising cluster.
• Develop fundraising strategy for projects within the cluster, including Enduring Earth and other large-scale collaborations.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects to secure philanthropic and partnership support.
• Build deep relationships with Environment program teams and external partners.
• Collaborate with program staff to articulate value propositions to donors.
