Job summary

BDO USA, a leading advisory firm in Chicago, seeks a Tax Manager, Partnerships to advise on partnership taxation, 704(b) items, allocations, and TRA calculations. This role drives leadership within the STS Partnership Practice, develops processes, and mentors team members while maintaining client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of tax experience with partnership specialization and preferred CPA/EA credentials, ready to contribute to client solutions and firm growth.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required
• Specialized partnership experience, required
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or EA preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains and develops an in-depth understanding of partnership taxation and related issues
• Identifies research needs; frames issues and reports analysis clearly
• Develops, recommends, and implements methods to maximize client benefits and reduce taxes
• Trains and mentors associates and supervises staff on engagements
• Leads client relationships and manages workloads to meet deadlines
