Job summary

The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a Parole and Probation Officer III - Mental Health Specialist in Bismarck. You will supervise a high-need caseload and coordinate with law enforcement, courts, and treatment providers to address complex behavioral health needs while ensuring public safety and rehabilitation.

This role involves extensive community work, travel, and responsibilities such as case record management, progress reviews, and making recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with preference given to behavioral science, business, education, or a closely related field.
• Five years of work experience directly interacting with individuals in corrections, law enforcement, education, or behavioral health setting.
• OR: Associate's degree in behavioral science and seven years of work experience in criminal justice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a high-need caseload and monitor compliance.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, courts, correctional facilities, and treatment providers.
• Connect individuals with treatment and community resources.
• Review progress and adjust supervision and treatment plans.
• Prepare records and participate in hearings as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
