Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours in behavioral sciences such as psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, criminal justice, etc.
  • One and one-half (1-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in counseling or related fields.
  • For Level IV, one additional year of professional experience in criminal justice work related to rehabilitation of offenders.

Responsibilities

  • Review case records and communicate with facility caseworkers to determine parole suitability.
  • Develop treatment plans and conduct home visits to assess living arrangements after release.
  • Perform duties including supervision planning, reporting, and interactions with parolees and the Parole Board.
