Job summary

State of Hawaii seeks qualified individuals for permanent, full-time Parole Officer roles in the Hawaii Paroling Authority Division. Positions involve rehabilitation, monitoring, and control of parolees under Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in behavioral sciences such as psychology, sociology, social work, counseling or criminal justice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits and assess housing arrangements for parolees.
  • Review case records and discuss services needed with parolees and stakeholders.
  • Present to the Parole Board and prepare required reports and recommendations.
  • Provide supervision and rehabilitation support to parolees, including coordination with service providers.
